Properties in Port de Andratx

The mountain range of Tramuntana starts here and follows Mallorca’s western coast about 120 kilometres north as far as Pollensa. Port de Andratx has become a very popular destination on the island in the last few years. Attractive boutiques and interior decorating shops offer all the latest things.

Opposite the fishing harbour is the famous marina where luxury ships and genuine fishing boats lie side by side. Along the lovely promenade in the port and next to the church square you will find a large selection of both Spanish and gourmet restaurants with delicacies such as fresh fish and sea food delivered directly from the fishing boats. On week days you can buy fresh fish in the port area. All bars and cafés are inviting and offer pleasant meals and drinks.

Thanks to the proximity of the sea this charming village is a paradise for all types of water sports. The nearest larger beach is located ten minutes away in Camp de Mar. You will find a golf course along with mini golf, riding, diving and parachute-gliding there too. Every Wednesday a popular market is held in Andratx where local produce such as cheeses, vegetables, flowers and olive oil are sold.

The city of Andratx is very genuine and life there is conducted around the town square, Plaza España, where the locals attend the bars. A few minutes away is Centro Cultural de Andratx, a cultural centre owned by Danes. In the area you can also find one of the island’s larges wine producers, the bodega Santa Catarina, which is well worth a visit. Next to the sea is Cala Llamp with exclusive apartments and villas. You will find a pleasant beach club here with a café and great bathing from the cliffs.
