The town is best known for its white crescent shaped beach with characteristic mountain formations. During the summer months the beach and the cosy cafés there become the natural meeting place. There is another smaller romantic beach next to the charming marina.
Apart from the large selection of shops, many of them fashion or interior decorating boutiques, you will find various sport activities such as tennis, waterskiing, windsurfing and diving. For golf devotees there are several golf courses close at hand, among them the championship course at Santa Ponsa I. The Santa Ponsa golf club houses a very popular hotel and the restaurant there organizes many enjoyable parties.
A short drive along the southern coast takes you to the Spanish village of El Toro. You will find a secluded beach and the marina Port Adriano there, with its many excellent restaurants and boutiques. Hotel Port Adriano is a luxurious and pleasant SPA-hotel. The 30 km long bike and walking road to Palma and further has its starting point here. There are good bus transports to Palma and other locations from here.
